A Boost Converter Employing Quadratic Sawtooth Waveform Generator for SiPM-Based Radiation Sensors

This paper proposes an optimized step-up power converter using a quadratic sawtooth waveform generator for silicon photomultiplier (SiPM) used as radiation sensor mobile dosimeters. Although our uses the topology of switched inductor boost in voltage mode, it achieves fast transient performance thanks to proposed generator, which can increase loop bandwidth. As result, stably regulate bias SiPM, even situation where particles are injected. In addition, since be designed with low power, was able achieve 86% peak efficiency under light load conditions.
